Why the distant ones feel like the real thing
“Why do I keep attracting emotionally unavailable men?” The word “attracting” does a lot of work in that sentence. It makes it sound like weather, something that happens to you from the outside. But you know the moment you’re talking about. You’ve felt it start.
He’s a little hard to read. Warm, then gone for a day. And something in you lights up. The Sun was in Leo the day you were born, and Leo wants to be seen, really seen, by someone who matters. A man who holds back turns his attention into a prize. When it finally lands on you, it feels like the whole room turned your way.
Then there’s the Moon. You were born with the Moon in Libra, so you feel safe when things between two people are smooth and pleasant. You keep it light. You don’t ask for the call, the plan, the words you’re waiting for, because asking might tip the balance. Your mind says: “Don’t be too much. Just keep it easy.”
Put those two together and the pattern makes its own sense. You shine for someone who keeps his distance, and you ask for nothing so the shining stays welcome. A man who isn’t available never asks to see the parts of you that aren’t easy. A man who is might.
Notice what happens when a kind, steady man is plainly interested. No chase, no guessing. Is there a flatness, a sense that something’s missing? Or a small fear, like being looked at too closely? Could it be that the distant ones feel exciting because they never come near enough to see you tired, or angry, or wanting?
If you want, close your eyes, let your hands rest palms down, and remember the moment his message finally arrives. Feel the lift in your chest from the inside. Then feel what sits right underneath it. You don’t have to do anything with it. If you want to stop, you stop.
Wanting to be seen was never the problem. The question may be who you let close enough to see all of it.
