The heaviness that waits until things are good
“Why does this heaviness keep coming back, even when life is good?” Look at the second half of what you asked: even when life is good. As if a good life should have closed the door on it, and you can’t understand how it keeps finding a way in.
Maybe the good times are exactly when it can come in. When something needs handling, you handle it. You were born with the Moon in Aries, so your feelings move fast and want to turn into action right away. A problem gives them somewhere to go. You fix, you push, you get through. Then the problem is solved, the week goes well, the house is calm, and there’s nothing left to push against.
That’s when the heaviness arrives. It doesn’t bring a reason. It’s just a weight that settles in on a quiet Sunday or at the end of a good evening. The Sun was in Aquarius the day you were born, so you tend to look at your own life a little from the outside, clearly and sensibly. From there, your mind says: “Nothing is wrong. I have no reason to feel this.” And a feeling with no reason gets treated like a mistake.
Could it be that the heaviness isn’t about now at all? Some of what you lived through, you moved past quickly, because moving was what you knew how to do. What was never felt didn’t go anywhere. It waits for the moments when you finally stop, and a good life is full of those moments.
Notice where it sits when it comes. Maybe across the chest, maybe low in the stomach, like something pressing down. If you want, close your eyes, let your hands rest palms down, and let your body be open. Feel that place from the inside, only with attention. You don’t have to find its reason or make it lift. If you want to stop, you stop.
None of this means you’re ungrateful, or that something in you is broken. The heaviness shows up when it’s quiet enough to show up. Maybe it comes now because, for once, there’s room for it.
