When your body gets there first
It can happen in the middle of an ordinary sentence. Someone says “Can we talk later?” and your stomach drops before the words have even landed. Your shoulders creep up in a meeting that seems fine. Your throat goes tight on a phone call, and only an hour afterward, folding towels, do you think: oh. I was hurt.
“Why does my body react before I even know what I feel?” You asked it almost like a complaint, as if your body were running ahead without permission. But it may be the most honest part of you. It isn’t waiting for the feeling to make sense. It just feels it.
You were born with your Sun and rising sign both in Pisces. Pisces takes in a room the way water takes in color. A mood across the table, a tension nobody names, a kindness nobody notices: you register all of it, and most of it lands in the body first, because the body is quicker than words.
Your Moon in Libra adds something else. A Libra Moon wants things to stay fair and smooth between people. So when a feeling arrives that might cause friction, a part of you sets it aside to keep the peace. The mind steps over it. The body doesn’t. It holds the feeling until there’s room for it.
Could it be that the tight throat or the falling stomach isn’t a mistake at all? It might be the feeling arriving right on time, in the only place it was allowed to go.
The next time it happens, if you like, close your eyes and let your hands rest palms down on your thighs. Find the place that reacted, the stomach or the throat, and feel it from the inside, with attention, the way you’d listen to someone who speaks softly. You don’t have to name it. You can stop whenever you want.
Your body isn’t ahead of you. It has been keeping your place.
