The first second after his reply comes back short
His message comes back shorter than usual. “ok.” With a period. Or the whole evening goes by without a word. In the first second, before any thought, something drops through you like a missed step on the stairs.
Then your mind takes over, fast: “Something’s wrong. He’s losing interest. What did I do?” You scroll back through the last few days, looking for the moment it changed. You write something light and funny, delete it, write something lighter. You check whether he’s read it. You asked why you panic when he pulls away, even a little, and that word, little, matters. What happens inside you is so much bigger than the change on the screen.
You were born with the Sun in Pisces. You sense what’s moving in the people you love almost through your skin, so you catch the smallest shift in him, sometimes before he’s noticed it himself. That sensitivity is real, and it doesn’t switch off.
The Moon was in Leo, and a Leo Moon feels safe in warmth, in being seen and lit up by the people who matter. When his attention turns somewhere else, even for an afternoon, it can feel like the lights went out in a room you were standing in. Not because you need too much. Because for you, being seen is what safe feels like.
Could it be that the panic isn’t really about him? It lives in that first second, the moment of not being seen. Everything after it, the scrolling, the rewriting, the checking, is a way of getting out of that moment as quickly as possible.
If you want, the next time it comes, close your eyes for a moment. Let your hands rest palms down and let your body be open. Feel the place where the drop landed, maybe the chest, maybe the stomach, from the inside, with attention. Nothing has to be sent, answered or figured out while you do. If you want to stop, you stop.
There’s nothing wrong with you for wanting to be close. A heart that feels this much notices every small turn of the light.
