Why the answer keeps slipping away
“Do I stay in my marriage or leave?” You’ve probably asked it a hundred times, in the shower, in the car, lying awake while he sleeps. Each time the answer seems close, then slides away, and you’re back where you started.
There’s a reason it feels impossible from where you stand. You were born with the Moon in Libra, and a Libra Moon feels safe when things are balanced. So your mind does what it knows: it makes two columns. The years together, the history, the house, the moments that still feel like home. The tired evenings, the things that never change, the part of you that’s gone quiet. The columns never settle, because every time one side grows heavier, you feel the weight of the other.
The Sun was in Pisces the day you were born, and Pisces feels everyone. When you picture leaving, you feel his hurt before your own relief. When you picture staying, you feel your own sadness before his comfort. You’re trying to choose while carrying everyone’s feelings at once, including the ones that haven’t happened yet.
Your mind says: “If I just think about it long enough, I’ll know.” But the thinking runs around the same track. Every lap trades one fear for another, and the question stays exactly the size it was.
Could it be that underneath stay or leave there’s a smaller question? Not what to do, but what you actually feel, here, today, when he walks into the room. Not what would be fair to him, or what would look reasonable to anyone else. Just what’s there.
If you want, close your eyes for a moment, let your hands rest palms down, and let your body stay open. Picture him coming through the door. Feel your chest and your stomach from the inside, with attention. Is there tightening, softening, heaviness, nothing at all? Don’t turn it into an answer. If you want to stop, you stop.
Whatever you decide, and whenever, it’s yours to decide. Noticing what you feel first doesn’t choose for you. It only gives the question somewhere real to stand.
