When strong is the only word they have for you
Strong is a word other people use about you. They say it after the funeral, at the end of a hard phone call, in the kitchen while the bad news is still new: “You’ll handle it. You always do.” They mean it as praise. Somewhere along the way, it turned into a job.
You asked: “Why does it always have to be me?” There’s tiredness in that, and something under the tiredness too. A little anger, maybe. A little hurt that nobody seems to notice the strong one gets tired.
The Sun was in Libra the day you were born. You keep things in balance. When a family tips, you’re the one who leans the other way so it doesn’t fall over. You smooth, you settle, you find the words that keep everyone at the same table. Nobody asked you to. You saw that someone had to, and you were already standing there.
With the Moon in Pisces, you take in other people’s pain as if part of it were yours. That’s why you step in so fast. Watching someone suffer is harder for you than carrying it for them. So you carry it, and your own tears wait for the car, or the shower, or the hour after everyone’s asleep.
Your mind has a sentence ready every time: “If I fall apart, who’s going to hold this together?” Could it be that being strong is also the one place you’ve felt safe? Strong means nobody sees you shake. Letting someone else carry it would mean being seen right in the middle of it.
When the tiredness comes, notice where it sits. Maybe a heaviness in the chest, maybe a tightness in the throat from all the things you didn’t say. If you want, close your eyes, let your hands rest palms down, and let your body be open. Feel that place from the inside, with attention. For a moment there’s nothing to hold up. If you want to stop, you stop.
Being tired doesn’t cancel how strong you’ve been. It’s the part of you that has held everything for everyone, quietly asking for a turn of its own.
